An evaluation of mineral dust aerosols in climate models

The extensive inter-comparison of mineral dust modelling within CRESCENDO-ESMs is now online in ACP journal: Evaluation of mineral dust in ESMs. The paper Checa-Garcia et al. (2021) analyses several aspects of the global dust cycle: emission, transport, deposition but also surface concentrations and mineral dust optical depths. It compares models with respect to several networks of instruments and satellite retrievals.
