Description of aerosol absorption in global climate models

This publication Aerosol absorption in global models from AeroCom Phase III described the properties of the aerosol absorption in the global climate models included in the Aerocom Phase III comparison. The paper Sand et al. (2021) estimates the contribution of BC, dust and organic aerosols within the ensemble of models and try to attribute the absorption to each kind of aerosols, however in the case of BC the models with internal mixing are challenging to estimate.
